Horea Murgu

With over 20 years of experience in teaching, training and 7 years in coaching, Horea spent his professional life in various and enriching environments. He is full professor at the National University for Theatre and Film Arts, Bucharest (since 1990). A part of his work in Romanian film industry (1974 -1990) is on www.imdb.com He was the Head of Romanian Delegation in the Steering Comity for Mass Media, Council of Europe, Strasbourg (1996-2000).He developed a masterplan for Coaching Institute, 1st institution as such in Romania; designed and evaluated employment and training incentives schemes for Coaching Institute; he also did exploratory work for project development of coaching careers in Romania: evaluation, monitoring progress in HR programme implementation; managerial responsibilities, management, leadership and coaching training curricula design.In his work which implied personal development and working with people both in vocational art performing areas (theatre, choreography, schenography, multimedia and film) and business organizational development we can find some other activities as : “Distance Learning in Project Management Education and Training” (one of the CODECS founder and administrator since 1993), national reports on vocational audiovisual communication, Romanian Ministry of Culture (Council of Europe, Romanian Government), Media industry and media education project design, monitoring and evaluation for quality academic accreditation.He is a ITOL, UK fellow member, (see: www.itol.ro/english ). Certified Professional Facilitator, accredited by the American Psychologists Association, Human Synergistics accredited consultant, Zig Ziglar System accredited trainer, executive, team and life accredited IAC (ICI) coach, licensed NLP (Bandler) coach. Experience in working with NGOs, media professionals communities, as former member of Soros Open Society national board member, as founder of the BBC Radio and TV School for Journalism, as Vice president of Romanian Association for Interactive Multimedia and Romanian Society of Television and Film Technicians; He also designed: Training needs assessment and course delivery in media and journalism education; Management and supervision of international co-operation programmes in media; Amongst his recent clients in coaching we can enumerate Oracle Romania, Kraft, Danone, UniCredit Bank, Tenaris, Petrom, Lindab, Griro, and many other. Educational Background: A graduate of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Politechnica University in Bucharest, Horea took a Master’s Degree in sound engineering and a Ph.D in Theater and Film. He is a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK) affiliate member, a Felow of Institute for Training and Organisational Learning (UK and Ro), a Certified Professional Facilitator accredited by the American Psychologists Association, a Human Synergistics accredited consultant and a Zig Ziglar System accredited trainer. As a coach, he was trained with Alain Cardon, MCC-ICF, Nandana Nielsen (IAC) and Robert Dilts, Sandra Wilson, Annie Murray. He is certified ICI coach and Richard Bandler licenced NLP coach.
